Tiberius Resort hotel and Villas
Overlooking the Sea of Galilee, the hotel, terraced gardens, and villas flow down the sloped hillside towards the shoreline and promenade. Aligned along the outer perimeter the hotel shelters an inner network of shaded streets, lush gardens and pools interwoven between the built fabric. Located on the 6th floor, the main entrance opens up towards panoramic views of the lake and hills beyond, overlooking the domed villas and gardens. Hotel amenities include spa, restaurants and conference center located at the lower levels.
Villa design draws from local building tradition of domes, sun screens, courtyards and use of Limestone and Basalt as primary materials. Facing South, the domes filter sunlight into the living spaces which extend into an enclosed courtyard. Maximizing the advantages of the sloped site, each villa utilizes the roof of the unit below as a roof terrace, creating a rich tapestry of internal sheltered streets.
