The Edmond J. Safra Center for the Arts

Nestled on a wooded, rocky outcrop at the edge campus the Safra Center, a studio building for the fine arts department engages two main principles. Introduction of light through north facing clear-stories and skylights to the arts studios and levels below. And, minimal disturbance to the landscape, achieved by bridging across the wetlands and enabling natural wetlands vegetation to spread under the span into the campus. The arts studio program is served by a series of typical studio spaces on the upper floor with skylights in between allowing light to enter to the workshops at level 01.

Typical Studio- The typical studio was designed as a modular unit allowing layout flexibility  and subdivisions. MEP service were concentrated on the corridor side enabling each studio to function independently.
