Building A- The piazza building
As the main hub of activity the piazza building is anchored at the northern edge of the campus. The building contains the main public and administrative functions surrounding the main piazza. Beginning at the piazza the arcade and viaduct stretch out at both sides of the "wadi" terminating at the campus amphitheater. The use of architectural concrete on the outer facades and stone on the inner facades define an inner order and a sense of orientation through material.
The Arcade
As the main artery for campus circulation the arcade connects the main piazza and the buildings that stretch out to the south. Stern, exposed concrete elements lean on the bright stone background adding an additional layer to the dialog of material, light and shadow.
Program includes: Information and visitor center, cafeteria, small and large auditorium, registrar, laboriousness, class rooms, senate hall and administrative offices.
